The Power of Silence

ree

How often do you spend time in silence—truly still, quiet, and present? Not distracted. Not busy. Just allowing the noise of your mind to settle.

This isn’t just a momentary pause—it’s a habit, a practice, a discipline. Silence is a reset for the mind. A clear and still mind creates space for creativity, calms the body, sharpens awareness, and prepares you to serve others with greater presence and impact.

For me, stillness is where I connect in prayer and enjoy fellowship with my Creator. It’s a sacred space where emotional static fades and my thoughts and attitude realign with intention.

Silence also holds power in communication. It’s the foundation of effective listening. When paired with curiosity and thoughtful inquiry, it becomes a fertile ground for accountability and deeper connection.

So here’s a simple coaching challenge: Practice fifteen minutes of silence each day for one week. Use a journal to capture what you notice—what shifts, what challenges arise, what clarity emerges. I’ve found a 15-minute sand hourglass to be a helpful tool in building this rhythm.

I believe you’ll be encouraged by what unfolds.
