Integrity is living aligned with your values. You walk your talk. The outside matches the inside. You are an “integer”, a whole number!
Simple. Single minded. No fractures. No duplicity. No hypocrisy.
Whole people are happy people. Their conscience is at rest. Peaceful. Serene.
Such folks invest time in contemplation and considering what truly matters. Then they align their dreams, goals, plans, and actions with those values.
An unsettled conscience creates instability. A lack of clarity and direction is frustrating and worrisome. And the accumulation of more stuff can’t heal a divided mind. Food, alcohol, and recreation may provide a temporary distraction and some fleeting pleasure, but the lack of clear resolution remains deep within the heart and mind.
If you want true happiness, I challenge you to take a break from the busyness and the chatter of voices that swirl in your head. Step away from the endless demands and stresses of modern life and consider what is most valuable. Then align your goals, plans, habits, and actions with those values.
I am far from perfect. Every day, I am challenged with my wandering and inconsistency. However, deep within my soul I have peace with God through Jesus Christ. Having God as my Father and Christ as my Master and Savior settles the foundational issues of life and my purpose. I have an anchor for my soul and a blueprint for life.
As a coach and counselor, I help people align their life with their values. Once you are aligned with clear core values, that wholeness results in true peace and happiness.
