Do What You Love, or Love What You Do

I am a blessed person, for I love my work as a coach. It is challenging to be sure. But every day, I get out of bed and look forward to working with people to help them transform their lives and business and move them toward excellence.

I am aware that most people do not love their labor. Many dread going to work. If you are less than joyful when you think about your job or business, this is my counsel.

If you are not currently doing what you love, then learn to love what you are doing. Choose to find the value and the blessing in the tasks that have been set before you. Often people will leave a job, and find that the dislike they had for the former job follows them into the new job. The discipline of finding and creating joy in your current job, no matter how difficult your situation, is a discipline that will help you throughout your life.

Happiness comes from ourselves, not our circumstances. With that said, if you are in a job you cannot learn to love, then it is probably time to leave it. Certainly, for you to succeed in business, you must love what you do.

The lesson is simple. Do what you love, or love what you do. It is an attitude and mindset.
